Lamps' Nom Ride
written by Lamps South Chapter 23rd October, 2011
Thanks to all who turned up I appreciated the support
Pincher, Otis, Chappo, Surly, Mitch, Len, Gonzo, Shaggy, Gazza, Leathal, Kegs, Brian, Skit
The ride started from the BP servo at Rocky city shopping centre.
The weather gods were kind and we left the BP under clear skies and headed for Dwellingup the first fuel stop. Uneventful first leg of the ride made good time there were about 50 bikes at Dwellingup from the Hogs. Fuelled up, we headed for Quindanning. We hit road works about 18km out of Quindanning and the road narrowed to a goat track soft edges on both sides, which Len did not appreciate as he received a rock to his tank when a ute passed. I was lucky as I only took a hit to the face no damage.
We only caught a few drops of rain before we made it to the pub and ordered lunch and a beverage I can’t explain what Flash was up to (below). Lunch was nice and relaxed except for the seagull plague (Len) that constantly swooped the dinners making off with his chip bounty.
Fed and watered we left the pub and headed for the open road heading for home down the Albany hwy and one more fuel stop.
Last stop before the group split for the homeward journey one headed for the Jarrahdale turn off the remainder pushed on through to Armadale.
Thanks all for the ride it was a pleasant day out.
