1Mother's ride to Gnomesville
by 1Mother 20th December 2009
Well a good day was had by all on the Mothers back Ride on Sunday the 20th of December. The meeting place was at the Caltex service station in Baldivis at 0800. About 15 to 20 bikes turned up mostly Patriots and a few friends.
The ride went from the meeting point down to Karanup rd to the the SW highway. We followed this down to 10 kms this side of Bunbury where we headed to the coast to meet up with Toad at the Shell just coming into Bunbury. Arty (little toad) lead from here to the turn off as I wasn't too sure what it looked like( probably cost me).
The ride down along Ferguson Valley was very nice with a few good bends. It was only a few Kms from here to the roundabout where the gnomes are found. I as many others didn't realise just how many gnomes there were. At least a thousand.

We spent about 1 hour there and then headed to the Pub at Dardanup for a beer and feed. The cool drinks were appreciated as the temp was up around 40C. We Came back the same way with a few people parting off along the way to Pinjarra, where we stopped for a parting beverage that was shouted by one of the visiting riders to thank us for a great ride( thanks Chris).
A great ride and would be a great place to take the kids on a Vacant weekend.
Next time a ride goes that way, we should paint up a gnome on a bike as a Patriot gnome.......
