Butch's Nom Ride
written by Butch 31st January 2010
The weather was mild and almost perfect albeit a little windy.
The beginning of the ride saw some road works and a few trucks and caravans which were a little painful however, they were soon behind and we hardly saw any other traffic for the remainder of the run.
Brigham did a great job as Tail-end Charlie and kept the group tight for the entire ride (supported by Len, Ingo and Kristo).
Special thanks to Wolf who rode as President and offered me sound support and also for his advice both during the ride and in the days leading up to the ride.
After the ride, Kez and I talked about the day over a beer and our conversation soon focused on the great club and the wonderful people who are becoming our close friends.
I am a firm believer that “Things don’t just happen, you need to make things happen”. Equally, great clubs don’t just happen, people make them happen and the foundation to our great club is a group of very dedicated leaders namely; Ingo, Wolf, Kristo, Macro, Wog, Phoenix and Jester (no order) and many other members and supporters in the back ground.
My special thanks to each one of you guys because without a great club, a great ride would not be possible.
I won’t say too much more on this point less I get accused of sucking a male’s appendage.
The ride saw 25 bikes and 27 people, many thanks to everyone who attended and I think we all had a very enjoyable day.
