Mitch's Nom Ride

Marg & I arrived at Macca’s South Perth in our wet weather gear
prepared for the worst. It certainly didn’t look good for my nom ride!
When we left at around 0930 there were 25 bikes (30 riders and pillions)
which included a group from “Keepers Of The Children”. What an incredible
turnout and many more than I expected considering the weather.

We left Macca’s and headed up Canning Hwy past the Casino then left
onto the freeway and roared through the Poly Pipe at a steady 80kph.
Continuing on up the freeway, we went through one of only a couple
of showers encountered on the ride.

At the end of the freeway we turned right onto Burns Beach Rd where
Butch joined us. After crossing Wanneroo Rd, we travelled for about
5k’s then turned left onto old Yanchep Road for a pleasant cruise to
Two Rocks for a smoko stop.

After about 20 mins we headed out for a leisurely ride to Gin Gin for lunch at CU @ Park Café where we enjoyed a pleasant meal, a quiet drink, live background guitar music and the great company of our brothers. With lunch over, some riders decided to return straight home while about 17 bikes continued on via some back roads through Bindoon and the Chittering Valley to finish up at the Red Roof Pub at Bullsbrook for an ale before heading off home.

I want to thank everyone who turned up for my Nom Ride. Considering the weather, I think it really shows what a great Club we have with tremendous spirit and camaraderie .

A special thanks goes to Wolf for his help in planning this ride and his mentoring. Thanks also to Pornno for his role as Tail End Charlie.
I hope everyone enjoyed the ride as much as Marg and I did (even with the rain).
