Caz's Nom Ride
written by Caz 6th November 2010

After a long days riding we stopped at Kojonup to fuel up and grab a nice cool drink. Having spent a good part of the day riding about inland in the lower great southern we had warmed up considerably. The club left for the ride back to Katanning and a few of us peeled off to ride back to Albany with jobs to be done before dark.
The trip from Kojonup to Mt Barker (approx 150km) was mainly uneventful as this is a rather dull stretch of highway but enjoyable never the less. We stopped at Mt Barker for a quick break and then were back on the road as the daylight hours quickly drew to an end. As usual from Mt Barker to Albany (50km trip) the temperature dropped dramatically but it was still a great ride home.
After a small mishap on my bike the week before, I didn’t know if I had it in me, but thanks to the Albany chapter and their support, it turned out to be a fantastic day.
Many thanks.
